Installation Checklist to Avoid Pitfalls for Multi-Parameter Flow Transmitters(5)

Pit 5: The signal line and power line go through the same pipe
4-20mA,RS485, Weak electrical signals such as pulse signals are most afraid of strong electrical interference.
If the signal line, frequency converter cable, high-power motor line, and power line are routed through the same conduit, the instrument data is prone to jumping.
Typical manifestations:
Sudden fluctuations in flow readings;
Abnormal data during the start stop of the frequency converter;
Communication is intermittent;
The upper computer display is unstable.
Suggestion:
The signal line should be separately threaded through a conduit and kept as far away as possible from the power line. When laying weak and strong electricity in parallel, it is recommended to maintain a spacing of at least 30cm; When crossing is necessary, try to use a 90 degree crossing. When there is severe on-site interference, shielded wires, single ended grounding, and isolation modules should also be considered.
