As showing picture, magnetostrictive liquid level meter is formed from a measuring rod, an electronic chamber and a non-contact floating ball sleeved on the measuring rod.

Magnetostrictive wire (guided wave wire) is installed in the measuring rod. The measuring rod is made of non-magnetic stainless steel tube, which protects the guided wave wire. When the instrument is working, the pulse generator in the electronic chamber sends out a starting pulse which transmits through the wire, it generates a rotating magnetic field moving. When this magnetic field meets the permanent magnetic field in the float ball, it generates a magnetostrictive stretching effect, causing the guided wave wire to twist and generate a constant speed mechanical wave which transmits in two directions. The mechanical wave reaching the end of the measuring rod is absorbed by the damper. The mechanical wave transmitting back to the electronic chamber is sensed by the energy pickup device installed in the electronic chamber, and then converted into the corresponding current pulse. The energy pickup device calculates the time difference between the two pulses to give an accurate measurement of liquid level.

Magnetostrictive Liquid Level Meter Design Feature

◎ Excellent safety: the magnetostrictive liquid level gauge has high explosion-proof performance, is intrinsically safe and safe to use, and is especially suitable for the measurement of chemical raw materials and flammable liquids. It is unnecessary to open the tank cover during measurement to avoid the insecurity of manual measurement.

◎ The magnetostrictive level gauge is easy to install and maintain: the magnetostrictive level gauge is generally installed through the existing pipe orifice on the tank top, especially suitable for the installation of underground storage tanks and storage tanks that have been put into operation, and can not affect the normal production during the installation process.
