Sensor component installation
The installation position of the sensor element (probe) is usually determined by the opening position of the container, but it should not be installed in the feed stream. When there is no suitable position inside the container, an outer arm or cylinder can be considered for installation.
When installing the side wall of the sensor, the protective electrode should enter the container and pass through the hanging material of the side wall, so please pay attention to the length of the protective electrode when selecting the type.
To ensure the normal and accurate operation of the equipment, please follow the following steps to install:
A. In the case of insulating sensors, the installation must be very careful, because in this case, there is A risk of damaging the insulation of the probe, especially the thin capacitive probe.
B. The sensing element shall not be installed in such a way that the filling nozzle or slot will directly flow into the material. If this is not possible, install a partition between the probe and the fill.
C. Do not disassemble the sensor or loosen the mounting seal cover.
D. Tighten the sensor with the flat part of the wrench.
E. The shield must pass through the tank wall when the probe is installed.
Be careful:
Do not use one-component vulcanized sealants at room temperature for probes or instrument housings, which often contain acetic acid and will corrode circuit elements. A special two-component sealant (non-corrosive) should be used. Consult the manufacturer for the specific two-component sealant.
