pipeline electromagnetic flowmeter is one type of flowmeter with high accuracy and reliability. It can measure the flow rate of conductive liquid and slurry in a closed pipeline, Its measurement principle is based on Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction. That is, when the conductive liquid cuts the magnetic lines in the magnetic field, the induced electromotive force is generated in the conductor:
E=KBVD
K: instrument constant B: magnetic induction intensity
V: average flow rate in the cross section of the measuring tube
D: inner diameter of the measuring tube
When measuring the flow rate, the fluid flows through a magnetic field perpendicularly to the flow direction. The flow of conductive liquid induces a voltage signal proportional to the average flow rate (i.e. volume flow rate). The induced voltage signal is detected by two electrodes in direct contact with the liquid, transmitted to the amplifier through the cable, and finally, converted into a unified current output signal.
