Contact Guided Wave Radar Level Meter of 30m Range for Highly Corrosive Liquids with PTFE Antenna

Contact Guided Wave Radar Level Meter Working Principle

Input:
Guided wave radar is a measuring instrument based on the principle of time travel. The radar wave operates at the speed of light, and the operating time can be converted into a level signal through electronic components. The probe sends out high-frequency pulses and propagates along the cable or rod probe. When the pulses meet the material surface, they are reflected back and received by the receiver in the instrument, and the distance signal is converted into the level signal.

The reflected pulse signal is transmitted to the electronic circuit of the instrument along the cable or rod probe. The microprocessor processes the signal and recognizes the echo generated by the microwave pulse on the material surface. The correct echo signal identification is completed by the pulse software. The distance D from the material surface is proportional to the time travel T of the pulse: D=C×T/2 (where C is the speed of light). Since the distance E of the empty tank is known, the level is: L=E-D

Output:
By entering empty tank height E(= zero), full tank height F(= full range) and some application parameters, the application parameters will automatically adapt the meter to the measuring environment, corresponding to 4-20mA output.

Contact Guided Wave Radar Level Meter Design Features

  • Guided wave radar level Transmitter adopts advanced microwave processing technology and unique Echo Discovery echo processing technology. The contact measurement has high accuracy and more accurate measurement. At the same time, guided wave radar anti-adhesion, not affected by the medium temperature, adhesion and other external environment.

  • The 70X series guided wave radar level transmitter is suitable for various complicated working conditions and applications, such as high temperature, high pressure, and small dielectric constant, etc.

  • Pulse working mode, low emission power, can be installed in a variety of metal and non-metallic containers, without any harm to the human body and environment.
