NH93420 Liquid Level Transmitter Operating Principle
The liquid level transmitter consists of a special gas guide cable built into a capillary hose, a compression joint and a probe. The probe of the level gauge is constructed of a stainless steel core with a diaphragm at the bottom and a plastic shell with holes. The liquid level measurement is actually the difference between the hydrostatic pressure on the probe head and the actual atmospheric pressure, and then the ceramic sensor (attached to the stainless steel film) and the electronic component convert the pressure difference into the 4〜20mA output signal.
When the hydrostatic liquid level transmitter is put into a certain depth of the measured liquid,the pressure formula of the sensor is as follows: PA= p・g・h+Po to obtain the liquid level formula:h = PA- Po/ p*g.
At the same time, the pressure of liquid is introduced into the positive pressure chamber of the sensor through the gas conduction stainless steel, and then the atmospheric pressure on the liquid surface is connected to the negative pressure chamber of the sensor, so as to counteract the Po, on the back of the sensor and make the measured pressure of the sensor PA-Po= p・g・h.
If the density of the liquid is uniform, the static pressure difference is proportional to the height of the liquid level.
